Polka in A

A bonus tune this week

This is the first polka I ever learned, and I actually had to learn it twice. Originally I learned it in the key of G, though I later discovered that several of my fiddle playing friends were playing it in A. Not too tricky to switch between the two, and I’m glad I know it both ways now.

Recorded here in A on the mandolin with accompaniment from my brand new guitar. Still trying to learn how to mix this guitar in recording. It has a thundering bass response that can really overpower the melody if not careful.
