You could write this out in 6/8 time similar to a jig, but I think if you think of it in 12/8 time you’ll get a better feel for the slide. This is a pretty straight-forward tune, which is often taught early on to new players of the tin whistle. As such, it has garnered something of a reputation as a “newbie” tune, but don’t let that dissuade you from enjoying it as much as I do.
